Territory-Exclusive · One Operator Per City

Run your own local consignment storefront

A complete storefront for vintage, furniture, and secondhand — open year-round, not for one weekend. You take consignments from neighbours, list them in minutes, and keep a cut of everything that sells. One operator per city, and once yours is claimed it’s off the board for good.

One-time payment. Once a city is claimed, it’s off the board.

Is your city still open?

Check availability before you buy — territories are first come, first served.

The three screens

There are only three screens, and this is all of them

The queue where you approve and price, the form your consignors fill in, and the shop your buyers browse. Everything the business does happens on one of these.

See a live demo shop Opens a real storefront in a new tab — stock, filters, and all.

Your approval queue. Every submission lands here instead of in your inbox. Set the price and the consignor’s share, approve, and it’s on the shop floor. The same screen tracks what you owe each person and what you’ve already settled.
Your consignor form. One link you hand out. People send you photos, condition, and what they hope to get — you never chase an email thread for a picture again.
Your shop. Your name, your colours, your stock, on your own web address. Buyers filter by category and price and never see a platform logo.

What You Get

Everything the storefront needs, day one

Not a template you have to finish. The shop, the intake form, the dashboard, and the emails are already built and already talking to each other.

Your own storefront

A real shop at yourname.consignmentbiz.com — your name, your colours, your stock. Buyers browse and filter by category and price without ever seeing a platform logo.

  • Your name, your colours, your web address
  • Category and price filters buyers actually use
  • Mobile-first — most browsing happens on a phone
  • No platform logo anywhere on it

Continuous inventory

Add pieces as they come in, mark them sold as they go. Nothing expires, nothing needs scheduling, and there’s no weekend to build up to.

  • Add a piece in under a minute
  • Nothing expires and nothing needs scheduling
  • Mark sold once, from either screen
  • Sold stock stays visible as proof of what moves

Consignor intake

Share one link and let people send you their own pieces — photos, condition, what they’re hoping to get. Each one lands in your approval queue, not your inbox.

  • One link you hand out or print on a card
  • Photos, condition, and their asking hope, up front
  • Lands in an approval queue, not your inbox
  • You set the split per shop or per person

Two ways to sell

Some things sell better paid-for online; a sideboard sells better held for collection. Choose per item — card online, or reserve now and pay you in person.

  • Card checkout for anything that ships or fits in a car
  • Reserve and collect for furniture
  • Holds release themselves if nobody shows
  • Choose per item, not per shop

Operator dashboard

Approve a submission, set your price and the consignor’s share, and it’s live. The dashboard also tracks exactly what you owe each person and what you’ve already paid.

  • Approve, price, and set the split on one screen
  • Amount owed locked in at the moment of sale
  • Running tally of outstanding and settled payouts
  • Works on a phone behind the counter

Automatic email

Buyers get their confirmation and pickup details automatically. You get told when something sells. Nobody has to remember to send anything.

  • Buyer confirmation with pickup details
  • Reservation notice and expiry reminder
  • You get told the moment something sells
  • Sent from your shop, not from us

How It Works

Claimed, set up, and selling

Most operators are taking their first submissions the same week they buy.

Claim your city

Check that your town is still open, pay once, and it’s yours. We won’t sell it to anyone else, ever.

Set up your shop

Name, colour, hours, and the split you pay consignors. Five minutes, and your shop has an address.

Add your inventory

Start with whatever you already own. Then hand out your consign link and let the shop fill itself.

Start selling

Buyers find you, buy or reserve, and collect. You approve, price, and pay out — all from one screen.

One piece, start to finish

What happens after somebody hands you a sideboard

Five states, and the software moves the piece through all of them. You make two decisions in the whole run: what it’s worth, and what share the consignor keeps.

  1. Pending

    It comes in

A neighbour fills in your form with photos, condition, and what they hope to get. It lands in your queue — not your inbox, not a text message, not a note on the counter.

  2. Available

You price it and approve it

Set the price and the consignor’s share — your shop default, or a different rate for this one person. It goes live on your shop the moment you approve it.

  3. Reserved

    Somebody holds it

Furniture rarely sells on a card. A buyer can reserve and collect instead — the piece comes off the floor while they arrange a van, and returns automatically if they don’t show.

  4. Sold

    It sells

Card online or cash in the shop, either way you mark it sold once. The buyer gets their confirmation and pickup details without you writing an email.

  5. Settled

    The consignor gets paid

The amount owed is recorded at the moment of sale, so changing a price later can never alter what somebody is owed. Pay them however you like; the dashboard tracks what’s outstanding and what’s settled.

What you’re actually buying

The part that takes months, already finished

You’re not buying an idea. You’re buying the build — the storefront, the intake, the checkout, the payout ledger, and the emails, already wired to each other.

Questions

Before you claim

What does “territory-exclusive” actually mean?

One operator per city. When you buy a town it’s removed from the list and we will not sell it again while your account is active. You’re not competing with another ConsignmentBiz shop down the road, because there won’t be one.

Do I need my own inventory to start?

It helps to open with a dozen pieces so the shop doesn’t look empty, but plenty of operators start with what’s in their own garage and let consignors fill the rest. The intake form is designed to do exactly that.

How do consignor payouts work?

You set the percentage the consignor receives — a shop default, or a different rate for a particular person. When an item sells, the amount owed is recorded automatically at that moment, so a later price change can never alter what someone is owed. You pay them however you like; the dashboard tracks what’s outstanding and what’s settled.

Can buyers pay in person instead of online?

Yes — mark an item “reserve and collect” and a buyer can hold it without paying. The piece comes off the shop floor for a few days while they arrange pickup, and returns automatically if they don’t show. Useful for furniture, and for anyone who’d rather hand you cash.

What happens if I stop running the shop?

Nothing automatic. Your site stays up and your data stays yours. If you decide to stop for good, tell us and we’ll release the territory so someone else can take it on — but that only ever happens when you ask.
